2000mW USB Desktop Laser Engraving Machine DIY Mac & Windows
Let me preface this by saying that I don't have much experience with using a rotary tool. But at under $40, this was a hard deal to pass up. Comes with 140 pieces (pictures included), 6 speed, and a protective hard shell plastic case. I still don't know how to use all the accessories, but I can say that the polishing and cutting pieces work well. Give it a try - for the price, I'm sure it won't disappoint
Not a whole lot to write, this was a great purchase and great for the price. I researched the competitors for pricing and included accessories. This unit was perfect for my needs and completed the job it was needed for. The included accessories and spiral bendable extension is perfect, in reviewing the competitors the accessories were extra and would require to be purchased separately. This again was a great purchase and highly recommend !
Im such a sucker for reviews and just a couple bad ones can make me change my mind about an item. I'm SO glad I went with this! I make necklaces and always have to wait for my bro in law to drill holes in shells and such for me. Not anymore!! This thing was amazing... especially for a person using a rotary tool for the first time ever. I'm so excited to use this again. Don't hesitate, definitely worth the money!
Plenty of power and lots of accessories to start out. It is fast and powerful but can get a little hot when holding it. I did have to buy some Diamond coated bits for a hard metal project. This is a great beginner or casual user tool. My only worry is the way the bits attach as the weak point in the future but I am not a professional hobbist so mine should last a few years for $50
This is the perfect starter kit for anyone looking to spin up (hah) craft or small home improvement projects. The dremel - and let's just agree to call it a dremel and not a rotary tool - works well with more incremental speed settings than the handle implies.
Where this really shines is the sheer quantity of components, especially non-essential but staple, extremely convenient components like a multi-chuck/quick-chuck, shield, cutting guide (which isn't pictured in the main photo but shown in the description), and flex shaft. A name-brand flex shaft costs almost as much as this whole kit! Make sure you test the flex shaft - they can be finnicky, but mine thankfully worked fine.
Then add in the enormous variety of other attachments, polishing, etc and you've got everything you need for whatever small projects you've been cooking up, without worrying about not having the right type of drill or sandpaper.
The only ding against this is the case. It's fairly cheap plastic with some flex, and it's difficult to fit the shield and guide in with everything else. The part of the handle around the red locks had jagged bits and were tough to close the first few times. If anything, you should take the dremel to that first!
